"POWER TO THE PEOPLE" john lennon

"Power Revolution"

"Another example of a "Vision" thing Painesville Leadership has failed us on"

This is a note to me neighbors and friends who have invested in a 50 year contract for electric from a coal fired electric power plant.

Most of you probably have heard of the premium electric automobile maker Tesla. Owned by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Well Mr. Musk has taken the wraps off it's ambitious battery system that can work for homes. A 10 kWH version for $3,500.00 presently excluding installation and inverter.

All this from free solar power system called a power wall a unit about three feet by four feet in size and about six inches thick,

Pipedream? "Our goal here is to change the way the world uses energy at an extreme scale."

The Gigafactory under construction in Nevada as a product, the first of many. With 160 million Powerpacks, we could power the United States, he said and with 2 billion, the world.

Powerwalls has been testing for a year, and has already been on sale to select customers. Tesla will start taking orders later this year and then really ramp up production as Tesla's battery building goes online.

Will this happen overnight? I don't believe so but it will be a normal operation by the time we go into a third Presidential election cycle. (12 years) and remember how color television got cheaper along with flat-screen TV's? I expect the same from solar panels and power walls.

Now the question what will we do with the  thirty year's left at Prairie State?  Don't forget we are also responsibility for the plant closures and the miles of coal ash.

Maybe we will own two power plant museum's, Painesville Muni, Prairie State.

Hey, Mr. Musk we have a battery-box building here, cheap! Also some windmill's somewhere!

This does not surprise me. When the city was insisting on getting us into this 50-year COAL PLANT OWNERSHIP DEAL (are you KIDDING me?), one of my arguments was that long before that, each home would be producing their own power. And here we are, and here goes the world. I also don't think Tesla is the only one working on this. Pretty soon, it will be just like each home has their own hot water heater and furnace. And where will Painesville be THEN, Joe Hada, former city council member, who voted "PROUDLY" for the plant, as he shoved his vote in the faces of all the citizens who were opposing it.

"Failed Painesville Leadership", again, and again. Yes, it is very much true. There are so many people that lay all these issues before the former city manager, which is appropriate. But do not forget that one only makes decisions on the information and recommendations that one is given. What about the "minions" who endorsed these concepts? The law director signed off, as did council. What about operations at the plant and distribution, they signed off as well. The plant still does not operate, but continues a payroll as if they do. Why is that? Folks can look back several years for accountability, what about today? One cannot keep looking over past decisions, but deal with the current reality as is, suggestions are far more productive than casting blame.

My comment cuts across several departments and the employees are very saddened by the lack of leadership, not the past, but their current day to day. They are good people who just don't feel they have the resources to perform what is expected of them, and they expect of themselves.

2:45 You make some valid comments. First the city manager wants the deal and she only brought things before council she wanted. Second Department heads serve the discretion of the CM just think how long they would have their jobs if they showed her opposition to her? Ever see one oppose her ideas? Council takes a vote on the information they are given. Good people expect to keep their good jobs. Perform to not make waves.

Where have you been? People were allowed to speak freely to Ms. McMahon and openly around her. Have you taken the time to ask anyone about the gag order the new guy has imposed. Well don't.Because there is a gag order and everyone works in fear of loosing their job, can not speak openly or freely. Look back at the past several that got the ax, put 2 and 2 together. Whomever referred him as Putin made a great call.

Speak freely and be told "stories" you keep believing she did a great job but look around as you do. It might take 20 years to turn this ship in appositive direction. A member of the Senior Center claims she will soon be a spokesperson for the Senior's? Great now think how much she did for them as CM?
Common sense tells you gag order's don't work. Also a waste of energy.

At least she kept the senior center here. Where do we go now?

12:25 Am I wrong to assume the Senior Center was owned by the Seniors? They sold and now what exactly do they want? She did very little and now she is your hero?

The current one did even less. Check it out, or just keep drinking his Kool-Aid.
