"NOTORIOUS THUGS" bone
I guess we seem to reached the tipping point of political correctness?
Everyone from CNN reporters, to the Mayor of Baltimore as well as our President has been chastised for using the word "THUG"?
I guess if your around long enough you can pretty much offend anyone?
The word Thug has been around since I know even when I was a kid. It at that time meant anyone who pushed the realm of common decency, fought, stole and lied a common criminal.. Now in the Hip Hop generation seems to have added extra meaning to the word, and now some claim it is the new "N" word? Well who might be responsible for making this connection? What do we call individuals that burn and loot their own neighborhoods? "Stupid's" what would you accomplish burning businesses and looting them in your own neighborhood? It's a stupid action.
The other day sadly a New York policeman was shot to death by a young black man.
Did White people go home and start looting and burning their neighborhoods? No because that would have been stupid.
I know these young men seem disenfranchised by the whole system but in my eyes there can truly be only one thing that can make these men whole. A good job. Baltimore claimed in the 60's almost 20% of jobs dealt with manufacturing now it's 6%. All these manufacturing jobs shipped overseas and it the President gets fast tracked due to TTP you can expect that number to shrink even more. The governments responsibility is first to provide the American dream to all Americans, Black, White Hispanic all of us not a trade deal for the multi-national businesses in this country. I've gone off track here but just maybe the answer is a good paying job might work instead of another government program.
Explain to the American middle-class how any trade deal has made for a better life?
Back to Thugs any idea's what we should now call them?

I believe you also need to under consideration the educational system. Not every kid should or need to go to college, what happened to the trades, technical schools and apprenticeships? Our entire system is in great need of an overhaul.
Immigration is something you facilitate when you need workers to build a country.
To do it now when there is no need, is to de-stabilize our country and create the problem TERM just verbalized. (Among others)
There seems to be a deliberate plan by government these days to create chaos and a larger voting block low information voters. This is not an unintended consequence of a noble act. This is a deliberate long term goal. A means to an end.

Who is complaining about using the term? The thugs or someone who feels sorry for them?
The problem with give away programs is that once they are started, they never go away and people come to expect to be taken care of. I know that jobs could be/should be the answer but where are the jobs going to come from? That ship has sailed.

The newest immigrants aren't afraid to work? They are afraid to take the proper channel to do it though, seems better to work under the table than above. They also feel work is better than an education. Where do they work? Which factories hire undocumented to work? Factories and nurseries should be held accountable for harboring them. News-Herald Sunday May 10th, "Consolidation Not In The Cards", presented by the Aislinn Consulting group, AKA, Rita McMahon, to the county fire chiefs and those local officials that made the mailing list. This was a brunch at Lakeland. The STUDY, well, friends being friends, Kip at Mentor-on-the-Lake was the lead applicant for a grant, $90,000, with some in kind money. The money came from the Local Gov't Innovation Fund. Innovative is a apt description. This study began in May 2013 and two years later Ms. McMahon summed up the results.
"You guys are doing most of the things collaborations studies suggest you do", I guess, well guys, you didn't need me. But, Ms. McMahon suggests a Task Force be implemented, "The task force will look to formalize the informal network of collaborations among the fire chiefs". I wonder who will chair this little group, with a stipend of course.
The article was written by John Hutchison and it provided links to the 'study' and the executive summary, if you care to read. John is a good guy.
I truly hope Aislinn is not in the running for the electric plant feasibility study. Enough is enough of Ms. McMahon's studies and recommendations.
But by all accounts, the chiefs were very happy they would not lose their jobs in any consolidation, mergers, "pass the mustard" was quipped. Yes, I had an unbiased friend in attendance.

I feel a race war coming on, and since the white race is in the minority or very soon to be I hope you will be ready. Yes there are good people of EVERY race and bad too. Unfortunately all we hear is much of what 2:05 said. I went to school, graduated and have a career. I sat next to black kids and we all received the SAME education. Now whether you or they decided to apply themselves and continue on in life was their choice. 11:45 All I will say is give a man a fish and he will eat for one day. Teach him to fish and he will feed himself for life. It's pretty hard to fish in a dessert. All we do is keep shipping jobs overseas and creating a larger poor class. Maybe just maybe if these young black men could see the light a good paying job could do to ones self-esteem in a generation or two we might realize a change.

Let me tell you about another classmate that retuned to Painesville after a tour of duty in Viet Nam because the so called country he supposedly hates ask him if there were any jobs. I said I didn't know but put me down as a reference. Two days later I was brought into the office and asked what was I thinking? You see any Blacks around here? This was 1971.
I know Blah, Blah, Blah. I've seen discrimination and I always wondered what I would feel if it was done against me. I must admit I wouldn't have burned my neighborhood down .... But I might have burned yours down.
I understand peaceful demonstrations but nothing turns the heat up like a little social unrest. Me I've always believed nothing is really solved without violence, Sad but true, why would anbody predict a race war?

Interesting thought coming from you. You post such liberal thoughts. And you know the answer to that, you give them one fish then two then three, well you get it. If you take away the welfare they will have to learn to fish and be able to live without me paying for their fish. And lake perch is very expensive.
Check the school website, they will now be furnishing breakfast and lunch to kids in need this summer. So, we are paying their parents welfare way and paying again since their parents aren't buying proper nutrition for thier own kids? That's double dipping. This needs to stop.

So we as a society share some fish, and if we didn't what do you think would happen? Again I agree being poor is the hardest job in the country. Starting wage at Wal-Mart is $9.00 an hour. The CEO makes $9,120.00 per hour seems someone's doing O.K. uh?
