"EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY" rod stewart

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKVSEQ83NJ8

I sent this Utube to three different council people. Now the question isn't that they didn't take the time to email me back BUT did they take the time to inquire to the administration if this was a feasible solution to the many potholes in Painesville. If it is a solution or why it is not a solution?

Best guess it will be deleted and for the foreseeable future we residents in Painesville will watch a large pick-up with four guys and a trailer with cold patch filling potholes that may or may not last a day or two. Because that's the way it's always been done?

Just maybe if certain people and union's quit protecting their turf and start looking out for the city things might improve. But if we continue to go down the same road this city will not survive.

Four guy's, pick-up and a trailer. As it was in the beginning is now and always shall be.

Realizing that virtually every road in the City is total garbage, where do we even start?

To those who live in the Heights on the west side of town and think that the roads in their development need help, I would invite them to drive on N State St or N St Clair St to the north of Rt 20. Those roads resemble a war zone.

When did we become a third world country?

Maybe some of the Democrats should quit voting to block every move our governor makes to try and give local cities more bargaining power over the unions.

Every Dem I know bought into the union rhetoric of "they are trying to get rid of us", when if you had thought for yourselves our cities would have the power to move around union guys to where they are needed.

2:42 Sorry I believe in collective bargaining. What the governor attempt was not to reign in but destroy the unions.

5:42 Under Rita McMahons tenure?
By Heights I assume you mean Heisley Park? Those people should drive around Painesville a little more. To their defense they have newer roads and are looking for preventive maintenance to keep them in good order.

I'm a registered Republican and not a big fan of unions, but I can't blame the bad Painesville City road conditions on the union worker. Other Cities in Lake County have union public work employees and have much better roads. We need an Administration willing to administer. A Council willing to prioritize. A City Manager willing to manage. A good place to start would be to review Mark Suedkamp written concerns rather than to dismiss his suggestions [as a disgruntled past employee]. Lets not ignore the utube video on pot hole repair. City Council and the City Manager should thank the input of Mr. Suedkamp, Mr. Cimallio, Mr Sternoff and others. I watch the meetings on my computer and this CM, Administration and Council appear to be more arrogant than the previous group. Our roads are bad! Quit getting annoyed when citizens bring it to your attention and do something positive about it.
Thank you Mark, Angelo, Ray, Anthony [Torre] and others for your persistance.

I am not too clear on how this became a union issue/problem.
The previous CM and her administration choose to do virtually no road maintenance for many years. THAT is what got us to this point. It had nothing to do with union employees.
Sounds much more like a management problem to me.
