"SAY WHAT" ll cool j
Went to Monday's council meeting same old same old. The Werners gave a day by day breakdown on what was going on at Jackie's.
Also due to the fact the county must have an answer by May 15th about the EBGEEB funds. $80,000 the city will use those funds to go along with the $650,000 grant to teardown the old hotel. ... One problem still isn't enough money for the demolition. So in the wisdom of the administration and council Painesville will use at least $200,000 of general fund money to complete the job? (ever notice when they need the money somehow they find it?)
Had a hearing at 8:00 about a gentleman who own two M1 buildings and since they are empty wants to make "Party Centers" on weekends. Well most on council seemed to see what problems could arise voted 5-2 against with councilwoman DiNallo and council-president Hach voting for the measure. Then in typical Lori fashion council woman DiNallo proposed some rules the businesses that sell alcohol have to follow. Well one size doesn't fit all Depot Café isn't Jackie's and Your Vine or Mine isn't Tony's Subway Inn? Wonder if she realizes this?
Assistant city manager gave a report on how other city's in the area deal with "buffers" for railroads, mentioning Solon, Ohio as an example. Here's what you didn't mention Mr. Lewis Solon has a spur track that runs to the Stouffers food plant once or twice a week with three or four cars. Painesville on the other hand has over 150 trains travel through town at 50mph+ daily.
If anyone on council had some I'll say it "Balls" they would pass an ordinance no residential homes within 150 yards of railroad mainlines.
Someone should ask the fire chief of the dangerous material that travels though our town daily.
I presently see two No votes see paragraph three.

Seems you were the only one not surprised by Kimberly Laurie winning the right to run for county commissioner.
Hardly surprised, she wanted it the most. If Dan Troy doesn't wake-up he will be retired in November.
Heard a rumor that the CM is trying to push the Police Chief out the door. Please tell me that ain't so.
Dan Troy retired in Aug 2006. He has been double dipping since. We need a change. CONGRATULATIONS KIM. J.R. MURPHY.
Tony s should be shut DOWN and everybody knows it! but those really good people of peeville can not make them!!!! no BALLS and Jackies is not the problem! it is the people next door!! you try to put jackies down. No it is not the Depot. and they have problems to. And term is no Carl Monday! and I am sure SHE knows that! O Wise-one!
Dan Troy is well liked in this town
my Friend! You will be retired long before him
I don't think Troy has anything to worry about from Laurie. She only won because of Tea Party support and low voter turnout as well as the guys splitting the vote. No, Troy is safe.
Term..whats the word on the police chief "retiring"
how about the story on the police chiefs sudden retirement
Sorry, I had 2 encounters with Dan Troy and both were very unpleasant. For a public official he was mean and rude to me each time. He was condescending and spoke to me like I was a child. I hope this young lady wins. Better yet I hope she makes good on all of her political promises.
from the steady stream of employees that complained to the cm about him it shouldnt be too hard to figure out
Not just in this case but, why do people continue to elect someone who is long past their "sell by" date, is double dipping, and was never very effective in the first place?
It worked well in Cuyahoga County didn't it?
8:29 Think not? wait for the photo's of Troy, DiMora and Russo?
When will the commissioners tell the public about the jail fiasco?
10:35 The whole county votes for commissioners not just Painesville.
I'm not crazy about Dan Troy, but I can't ever see myself voting for a Tea Party candidate,
there was a story on fox 8 website today about the trains vs heisley park residents today, although what the train engineer did was uncalled for I still side with the railroad with this situation as they were there first, buy a house next to traintracks there will be noise end of story!
2:34 Simple... there is no excuse for these actions of a "professional" train crew. So what someone is filming you doing your job.
Term,
Exactly what did they do that was so bad? I saw a guy pat his butt (with his pants in place). I see worse things than that driving through town with the brothers having their sag on.
If this is the best the Heisley Park residents can come up with, they need to sell and move now. The trains are not going anywhere.
Well Term were you invited? It appears there were over twenty cars at Atwell's Friday night after 11:00pm? No one in the store, no one shooting on the range? One Hell of a game of Texas Holdem' maybe? Don't expect the Police or Sheriff to care much. I guess no noise is better than noise?
Did anyone see one of the tv stations regarding the train traffic and what they are carrying? I fell asleep and missed it. Perhaps that will answer your question Mr Term as to just what is on them? Anyone?
