I was saving this but with Painesville "letter" on immigration and the news today that Congressman Joyce is being challenged from the right by State Representative Matt Lynch.

I wanted to take a moment to share with you an important update regarding illegal immigration and securing our borders. Recently I signed onto No Social Security for Illegal Immigrants Act of 2013 H.R. 2745. This bill would ensure those living in the U.S. illegally will not receive Social Security benefits.
As a former prosecutor, I believe we are a nation of laws and those here illegally should not reap the benefits of a program paid by legal U.S. citizens.
Under no circumstances should those here illegally be allowed to receive Social Security.

One of the things that really infuriates me is that now that he is caught, he and his defenders are telling us and telling us that he has been here 16 years, as if that is some sort of defense. Yeah, I get the sympathy that they are trying to elicit, but it's not only not working on me, it makes me even madder. What law can a legal citizen commit, get caught at, and then tell the police and the public that, gee, I've been doing it for 16 years now, and don't you feel sorry for me that I am caught now. Answer: No, I don't. You have stolen from my country, from me, and from my children. Please leave peacefully and quickly now.
And what church organization, etc., gathers together to protect any American citizen that has broken a law?
This is ridiculous and out of control. We do need to find out who was employing Mr. Ramos, how did that come to be, and try to make sure that something will come of that. In my opinion, however, if it was for field work, then there's not much those employers can do until the government gives them a new field-workers program to go by.
I would just urge everyone who cares about this issue to contact every person in the government that you can and urge them to fix that program (so we can get the rest out), and to pressure them to change the 14th amendment. We can take full advantage of this hiatus that the Republicans are taking on the immigration issue to try to convince them to go ahead with their desired piece-by-piece legislation. We then need to pressure the Democrats to let them.
As for our councilwoman, Lori DiNallo, if she does anything to urge anymore breaking of the laws of the United States of America, or to hurt our town any further with aiding any illegals who want to stay here, or to bring any more here, then she needs to be recalled. And that goes for anyone on city council that attempts to help her. You can give them all of your property and money, Ms. DiNallo, but you do not have the right to give them anything that belongs to me and my family or my country.
10:39 Makes you wonder how he got by this past 16 years? If you deport him he is sent home, what about the people that employed him for the last 16 years? Seems even the people opposed to illegal immigration show little concern for these employers getting punished. Why? Has any employer in Lake County ever been charged or found guilty? As for Obamacare...... I am thrilled. I have too many friends who had no coverage or were dropped by their carriers as soon as they needed a lung transplant and a kidney transplant. They have gone through bankruptcy and one is living in a homeless shelter after loosing his home, car and business. All so far have been on the website for Obamacare and signed up for insurance (maximum time, 22 minutets!). For the first time in since beginning his nightmare lung transplant, 12 years ago, he has insurance and can get his rejection meds covered. So many of my friends in their 50's have healthcare for the first time. If you work for yourself, it's unaffordable. If you work two or three part time jobs, you will never get insurance or if you do, you can't afford it. The coverage several of my friend got is better than any coverage offered by independent carriers.
It's not all about you it's about the greater good. On a personal note my insurance has not changed up or down so far...... but I am waiting as I think there will be adjustments.

I believe that the current immigration system is broken. I believe that Council members Dinallo and Fodor would like the Federal Government to fix the system. Councilman Deleone says that their "Where as" proposals are too vague and we should just let Congress fix it this April. Not sure where Hach, Flock, Jenkins and the new guy are on this issue. I recall you berating certain people (private citizens) horribly for years because they would not go picket certain businesses in Painesville that you wanted them to for employing illegals, although you never went to picket those businesses yourself. Last time a letter was sent by this city, it was sent by former councilman Bill Horvath. He, along with the help of former councilwoman, Abbey Delamotte, turned this city into a sanctuary city. Now it no longer matters that it isn't technically a sanctuary city (if it isn't), because the word is out all over Mexico and the rest of the Hispanic world that Painesville is a sanctuary city. Our city continues to fill up and fill up with illegals, and all the problems that have come along with that. Not to mention that Horvath lied and lied about who penned the letter, saying it was him, only to find out that it was Veronica Dahlberg, leader of HOLA who did it. I suspect that the letter that DiNallo wants to send was penned by Dahlberg and/or HOLA also. Just look around, Flock, and you can see everywhere you go what that first letter did, and why people are so upset about the second letter. This would be a good time to tell DiNallo that Horvath was voted out of office because of that letter, and if he didn't leave with his tail between his legs, then he should of. It's a hell of a legacy that he left this city and country, and one that may never be fixed. Question: did Flock speak out against that letter back then, or did he just sit there and simply vote "no" as usual? The letter is a big deal, Mr. Flock, so please treat it that way.

I sure hope this is a hypothetical question? First I know of very few people who believe you can deport 11 million people. If you are one of them have you any idea the magnitude of this? For one thing, there has to be at least 20 million illegals here. For another thing, anyone who is still saying we will have to deport them is ridiculous. The government now has E-Verify. If it was put in every business in America, then they wouldn't be able to work. If they can't work, they will go home. The ones that are left should then be easy to find. Tell them anyone who is still here and has not left, if they are caught, will go to jail for one year, and then be deported. They'll go. Go ask Mexico how many Americans are allowed to be in their country illegally. Answer: Zero.
On another note, Mexico is now starting to debate whether marijuana should be legalized. That would certainly go a long way to solving both our other problems with them and they with us. Not to mention, it should help their own country's gangs and violence and murders exponentially. Plus they are now letting vigilante groups fight and kill the drug dealers, which seems to working some already.
At least they are starting to do something besides just criticizing us and whining because we talk about sending their people back. Up until now they have done nothing to help themselves except to send all their people here to take over our country, since they wrecked theirs. So finally, there are some intelligent conversations and actions to start to help themselves in their own country. Their hands are being forced by our talks of deportations. It's time these people go home and fix their own country and march on their own governments. Imagine what they could have accomplished in these last twenty years if all their citizens that are here had been there and doing just that.

After reading some of these comments and people calling Term a bully or dangerous I have come to the conclusion some of
you might not like. Why is it Terms responsible to find the employers hiring illegals? Where is the Grassroots team asking for laws including jail time and fines against employers who hire them? The only reason to be here is a job. Make E-verify a law. To be truthful I spoke with Term at Marc's today and asked him why these people haven't gone after the employers? His answer was reasonable and made perfect sense it may explain why this problem continues.

So I suggest if you want something done about the employers, you and Term should take that responsibility, before you push it off and blame other people for not doing so, especially when you have no idea what those people have or have not done. And you must have missed the posts that told Term to stop attacking the Rally Team for things posted on this blog, because the Rally Team does not post on this blog. Every time anything is mentioned about the illegals, he attacks the Rally Team, and you have done the same thing, and the Rally Team has nothing to do with this blog, and you have no business telling the Rally Team what they should or should not be doing. I went to painesville.com, highlighted City Government, Council Official Records, and then 2014 legislation. I then read the Immigration Proposal. It took 2 minutes to read. Basically, It encouraged Congress to fix a broken system. I hope at least 4 members of Council show the courage to vote for this simple request.

Not arrest those who are here illegal that is a federal problem and must be taken care off by ICE to Boarder Patrol,and only them as they have the court set up to deport them. Went to a very different meeting Tuesday evening on St. Clair St. Seems Council member DiNallo, Hach, Flock and Fodor were invited to the monthly HOLA meeting. All but Mr. Fodor attended.
Now first off there were over 120 adults present at the meeting normal for the monthly meeting. The only time we can get that many people at a meeting is if there is a scandal at one of the schools.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform council members of the plight of deportation of many members of families in the Painesville area. As you can imagine there were some heart wrenching stories told, and we can deal with those in a future post.
Now first Mrs. DiNallo introduced herself and proceeded to tell the audience she was teaming up with Ms. Dahlberg to present a resolution to Painesville council. ( I seem to remember something of this nature in the past) Mrs. DiNallo if you want to pass a resolution put it in front of council with no outside help.

Councilwoman DiNallo actually stated she would introduce this resolution in October. An immigration rally organized by Veronica Dahlberg at 2:00 P.M. on October 5, 2014 at the gazebo, which Councilwoman DiNallo stated in an interview,
But City Councilwoman Lori DiNallo says elected officials need to rise above that.
“I think the big thing to realize is, our government is always reforming, all policy, everything we do. ... There are things that we don’t know; we have no idea how things are going to affect other people. So everything deserves a voice and an ear. And if you have committed yourself to representing people, that’s what your job is.”
She plans to introduce a resolution in council urging Joyce to support immigration reform.

Mr. 7:03. I have read the posting you advised . Again the Painesville police do arrest people wh o break the laws of Painesville city and the state of Ohio. They are sent to court that is the end of the police job. What happen now is up to the city and county courts. We fund a police dept so we can enforce the city laws , keep the peace of the city and try to protect those who need their help. Wefund a police dept so we have some control of what they do. Yes you have concerns you can ask the city manager or the Chief of Police to address those concerns. The people in the city voted down a additional tax for the police so they cut back and live on what they have. This shows what control you have. The one thing they can't do is solve the problems for the Feds.. You and everyone else need to attack the Feds who also work for you.
