" YOU WERE MINE" dixie chicks
Well at Monday nights council meeting we learned about two more "illegals" living in the southside of town.
Maude and Ruby these are two young chicks that the city deems have to go.
First let me explain Maude and Ruby are two "real" chickens that happens to be owned by a nice lady who keeps them for eggs for herself and no rooster is present.
She seems sincere and very ecologically aware of her footprint here on earth.
Asking her if she had a goal to expand her I don't even know what you would call it herd? She only wants TWO chickens period.
Other cities have ordinances to let chickens live in there town so would it be a stretch to let TWO chickens ONLY on a residential property?
I have no clue as to how many people would want two chickens but it seems to be a reasonable request.
I hope she can keep Maude and Ruby... This is what can happen when you run a FOWL of city government.
On another note any odds on how the planning commission will vote Thursday night on the Steele Mansion? Very strong opposition from prominent city resident?

Attended tonight Planning Commission Meeting the vote was 3to 1 to change the zoning and move it forward to council. Maybe there isstill hope for Painesville?

I'm all for it. Urban farming is big now, and there is nothing like fresh eggs from your own or a neighbor's chickens. Two chickens? Let her have them. We'd love to have a couple, ourselves!
Not suggesting to steal a neighbor's eggs, LOL. But I think even two chickens can produce more eggs than a family can use, so giveaways do happen!

Seem some people don't have a problem with a 14 unit apartment building and would rather have that, then a very high quality Inn?

I find this situation so bizarre. So the city is concerned about 2 chickens at a house being against the city zoning policy, but 20-30 illegals living in a house with a dozen cars parked on the lawn is ok. This city is so freaking screwed up. Let the chickens stay. Get the illegals out.

The Chicken Lady said that none of her neighbors complained but that Assistant City Manager Douglas Lewis noticed her chickens while driving-by! OMG I live and work and pay income taxes so that we can employ Mr Lewis to provide livestock patrol? Hey Mr Unetic, why not cut that "sacred fatted calf"?
Where are these houses with cars and people everywhere? Can someone post the addresses?
If you want to get away with code violations or crimes in this city, you have to be brown--as in Mexican/Latino. Don't even think about being black or white or anything else and doing the same things. Wasn't it Judge Ciconetti (spelling?) a few years back that said he gave the Hispanics caught driving without licenses a slap on the wrist because he felt sorry for them? It is all very sickening and shocking what is going on in this city and in this country with these people.

I have driven around looking for the houses with ten or more cars and haven't seen any. If you go to the city and give them specifics, they shoud have no problem with finding these violations. If you tell them to 'drive around' they will say they didn't find anything.

are yoy crazy I do not know any of the other people that have comments on this post, but I live on Liberty Street and all you have to do is turn your head when you drive down any street in town.
If you drive down Walnut and look between houses you will even see a Latino landscape co. with 4 trucks in the drive plus 6 cars, or look at the house next to the drive going in to maple School there is a Latino co. there too, they are all over the place and the illegals to work them too.

I am white and have a full driveway of cars and we are only 4 in my house myself spouse and 2 kids just because we arent poor and can afford more than one car per person dosen't mean we are a house of illegals...quit being judgemental without having facts
6:11: You must not have gotten the drift of what people are saying. The Mexicans get a pass in Painesville. Don't even THINK about being white and having even one car on your lawn, however. (Not that I'm in favor of cars on lawns, but I don't mind when my neighbors do it for a special occassion, for example.) But if you are Mexican here, you can have 50 people living in one house, you can urinate outside, you can have cars piled up to your roof, and nobody will bother you here. I'm sure the city is quite aware of the addresses of the offenders, but it never stops, does it?
4:46, I get the drift, but that's all it is, a drift. I watch the council meetings and rarely see any one get up with specifics about the problem. Get off your butt and say something in public. If you call your council member or have a casual conversation with one person there is no way you will see change.
You need the attention of the full council and administration, you can only get that at the council meeting- put them on the spot about the situation and come prepared with facts, not drift.
This is a good topic to test your new council members.
8:01: Give me a break. Where have YOU been. The Mexicans have been a huge problem for a long time, along with the fact that they get a pass in this town, including their housing and parking arrangements. For you to blame it on the citizens, which by the way, have complained plenty, and to tell ME to get off my butt is rude and disgusting. You don't have a clue what you are talking about and what is/has been going on in this town. Why don't you get off of YOUR butt and figure it out.
12:40pm, you are not getting it. You are entitled to your "full driveway of cars". The key word here is driveway. We are talking about the mexicans parking all over the yards. The back yard of many houses are used as campgrounds in the summer. pickup trucks filling the yard, the tailgate down and lots of men sleeping out there with their camp fires going. Even front and side yards. I know of a few where they have carved driveways through the grass creating a circle drive around the house. Too many cars to use just one driveway. So just plow through the grass and go wherever. Open your eyes.
I see the illegals are protesting in Arizona, and coming out into the open and vowing/threatening that they won't leave. They are sickening. Don't you just love the way they are indignant and defiant when they are told to quit squatting in our country and go back to their own? It's the same attitude the Mexican government has when they are demanding that we keep all their people, because what will THEY do with them? I am just disgusted--disgusted--with Mexicans now. If I never saw another one, it would be too soon for me. I also watched a Mexican woman being interviewed in Arizona. She was illegal, and at first was going to leave when the new laws started, but then said she would not leave, that she BELONGED there and that she had the RIGHT to stay, and SHE wasn't going ANYwhere. The sad thing is is that they are darn close to being able to call every shot in our country and getting whatever they want, and they know it. Every year they are allowed to stay, they are exponentially closer to controlling our country, and they are very close now. If they are legalized, they've won, and the country will be theirs. And our ridiculous government is still saying there are 10 million. There were probably 10 million twenty years ago, and they are still getting away with using this incorrect number.
