'WINDMILLS OF YOUR ..." noel harrison

Windmill Estates coming to Painesville This Development east of Heisley Park and will connect with Elizabeth Bvd. and Cherrywood Lane along with the road to nowhere?
Looking at all the water in that area I wonder if those 144 new homes will have boat docks? Thats a pretty wet area.
The city imposed some restrictions as to how close to the railroad tracks they could build as well as buffers. Whats the chance of another train derailment in that area? Lightning can't strike twice, can it?
To bad the city wasn't as proactive with Asper Park. I recently took a picture of a new home just as a CSX train was passing all in the same frame, will post it soon.
Thank-you Painesville more revenue for Riverside Schools and more responsibility for our safety forces and other departments as well.
Council meeting Monday night wonder if council will stick with the $10.00 amount fee or raise everyones rates by a percentage?

Isn't it about the right time for Rita to paint the street downtown and make Liberty one lane? What we don't spend in paint we could spend in asphalt right?

I remember not long ago someone mentioned that Osborn was building homes on the Road to Nowhere. Is this what he was talking about? Is Osborn putting up the Windmill Estates? Did we put up the Road to Nowhere just for him?

LOL wow have gone past that patch of land in the middle of winter? Flooding and high winds, you're kidding right.........

Who the heck would buy a house down there?
How many snake oil salesmen do we have in this town?

Was the city to blame for the train accident? Can you give us more info on this?

Why the $10.00 flat fee and not a percentage raise? Guess who's the biggest user of water that our water department serves?
Believe me we all currently don't pay the same price.
Someone should ask on council to explain how the size of the meter affect the price?
What's the price for water Argonne
Arms pays? Why does STP on Lexington have 2 meters of different sizes going into the same building.

On another note the council is to vote on giving the clerk of courts a 2% raise. Now how can the same council that voted last month for a contract for electrical worker of the city on a wage freeze for three years turn around and grant a 2% wage hike to the court clerk?
Is he more deserving? The problem is council had better start being consistent on their votes. I thought we were broke anyway?
Common sense or green with envy?

Much of it is half-baked too.
Guess that's why it's free.

Half-baked? attend a council meeting I'll show you half baked, and it ain't free. It cost all of us money.

So, are you inferring that there is funny business going on with Argonne Arms and STP? Or are you just being the usual Term and trying to cause trouble where there is none?

Did you call Argonne Arms and ask what they pay for water?

Did you call STP and ask why two meters?

I think the $10.00 fee is the fairest way to do this.

It doesn't matter how much water someone uses it is still just one pipe feeding it and we all have one pipe feeding us no matter how much we use.

Actually, if you want to do a percentage and be fair then those using less water should be paying a higher percentage. There is already a certain part of the water cost built in for maintenance of the system, people using more water have always paid more than their share.

Keep arguing to make higher users pay more and I'll send letters to all the council and explain how it really works and convince them to charge a higher percentage to the lower users in the interest of being "fair".

7:21 I wasn't inferring anything. I was informing you that the Argonne Arms Complex has one waterline feeding it and pay the same $10.00 as a single family residence dones. My point about STP will they pay $10.00 or $20.00?
7:27 I respect your views ,please come to the next council meeting and make your views known.
I don't agree. presently a resident pays more then twice as much per gallon as a business with a 6 inch meter I understand that.
Please explain the cost that is built into the system for maintenence? Please explain a 90 year old water line?
Please send me the letter also.

To 7:27: Everyone is already charged a minimum of "4" usage (the residents) whether they use that much or not. I would imagine that is to cover the base costs of bringing water to us. That's enough charging already. We do not need to be charged another flat 10.00 on top of that. We're already paying more than we use. Your ideas do not hold water. You can send as many letters as you want. As much credit as I do NOT give our council, nobody will be dumb enough to go along with that kind of thinking. Makes no sense at all.

I drive by that area daily on rt.44 please will someone explain where all that water will go once you build streets, sidewalks, homes and driveways? It's there now where will it go east, west, north, south.

6:50...how about basements? And if the developer is smart enough to NOT include a basement then how about the basements of the surrounding residents? Kind of like the Cedarbrook/Chestnut area with the new schools and houses built there.

I live in Heisley Park and we dont have any water issues. There is one part that consisted of 6 homes that have sump pump issues but that is it. Hense the retension ponds. The development wouldnt have passed inspection and approval from the city if it was going to turn out to be a swamp. Take a drive throught Heisley park and you tell me if you see flooded houses and water filled streets.

We will soon be adding 144 more roofs,144 more driveways streets, sidewalks ect. None of the above absorb water, where will it go?
