"BABY, THE RAIN MUST FALL"

Got a call from Mom last night, foot of water in the basement on Cedarbrook Dr. Love you Mom, be over tomorrow with the bleach and hose. Asked me who she should call since she knew of at least 5 basement flooded. Three homes with people over 70 years old and one with a single mother. Call your councilman Bob Fountain better yet save your time and dime. Mr. Lynch told her a couple of floods ago he didn't know what caused it but it wasn't the two new schools or Liberty Green, their water goes the other way. Maybe the pipe shrunk Mr. Lynch? The lights went out at Homestead II Sunday the basement flooded Tuesday someone deserves a plaque.

I bet it has nothing to do with the huge volume of rain and the soaked ground? I bet the fact that everyone is in flood watch in the top half of the State of Ohio has anything to do with it? I bet that the Painesville City Administrators conspired to raise the water table and drown good people's belongings. Go to church and complain, I think God had more to do with this than than Painesville.

TERM, sorry that I was mis-represented here, but flattered that someone felt the need to make me look bad. I would have never said that, and I am sorry that this happened to her. I have a friend that lives in the flood zone and spent the better part of a weeks worth of vacation tearing out carpet and drywall, I bet you are frustrated. I hope you find a resolve.

And to the poster above that assumed my identity. Creating a profile was a big step in trying to be me. Tell you what, you would have been there with the first half of your comment as I may have tried to lighten the mood. But the second half, sells you down the river. There is more to me than just initials. JT

Sticking to this really? You need a lesson in gravity.

God, maybe thats what were doing wrong instead og paying the storm water charge on our bills maybe we should just increase our offerings Sunday at Church, that wasn't even a flood of the year. We keep electing the same people expecting different results thats whats wrong. All they ever ask for is more money, and less responsiblity.

Hmm, let me think back a moment, I used to live in the cedarbrook area in the 1970's and after EVERY heavy rain it flooded bad enough I can remember people with canoes on cedarbrook.

Now, all of a sudden it's the city's fault because they built the school.

I'm not buying it, thats BS, the problem has been around a lot longer than the recent building permits.

If this has happened many times before when are you going to get smart and buy flood insurance?

Hmm, it wasn't the 70's it was the 50's and early 60's but the flooding stopped when they put the Trailwood development and Cedarbrook School. No flooding for 30 years until Liberty Greens and the two new schools. Question were larger lines put in when the Liberty Green Development went in on Liberty St. or Chestnut St. Maybe you can only add so much before the system can't hadle it. Getting smart? Novembers coming.

Term, your right no problems at our house until Liberty Greens and we have lived here 22 years. Called Councilmans phone no answer not even the answering machine, what gives?

Don't let them snowball you, the interceptor on Walnut St. stopped the flooding on Cedarbrook, ask someone that knows. That system was not built to take all the water its taking now. Whats the excuse at Heisley Park?
