There will always be a Huntington, Lathrop, Hobart, and Marshall in Paine Falls. You ever wonder what this bunch would have called Morley Library given the chance? At least they kept T.W.Harvey they must not wanted to get strung up on a Walnut tree.

Very good turnout at tonights meeting. Michael Victor gave us a history of Lake Erie College where its been and where it wants to go. If we had 4 people in town with his attitude this town would be unbelievable. Good Luck Mr. Victor.Mr Aufuldish did not make the meeting. Alot of great questions were asked and we will be looking for answers. Andy stated he will try to get Ms. Moore-Hardy CEO of Lake Hospital Systems to the next meeting.

As this comment may not "Fit the Bill" for Mr: Flock's meeting: Have not been able to contact the moderator of this sight.

Why is it the responsibility of the City of Painesville to try to gain outside funding to demolish Lake East Hospital?? This building is not owned/maintained by the City of Painesville. As the actual owners/lesee's have been bounced around for so very long: who exactly are the actual responsible parties? County Commissioners/Lake East Board of Directors - or Whom?
Along side of this article of demolition of Lake East was a statement about Harvey High School. Is the city of "Paine" now going to seek funds to not only demolish a Hospital that they do not own: but, also seek outside funding to demolish a School Building that is definitely the responsibility of the Painesville Board of Education? What is the working agreement here?
Way back in the day, we were told that the City Council and the Board of Education are separate entities; and neither one can influence the other - nor go into any agreements as to policies and future directives. This was explained to many residents as an equal of the separation of "state and Church" by Mr. Gary, a very educated Engineer.
As I am a former Grant Writer and Grant Administrator, I do know that one seeks funds on behalf of their own political entity for the best interests/positive progression of their community interests/development based on what they own/have. I have never ever seen grant requests (state/federal) for any buildings/infrastructure/housing on behalf of any structure that a public entity does not own nor has any control over.
My professional opinion of this latest press release: City of Painesville, go after outside funding that excelerates what is in this city. Stop sleeping with Lake East/Commissioners - it is their responsibility and they need to hash this out.
The City Manager of Painesville needs to back-Off and take a break. She needs to put these priorties in there proper perspective - instead of pushing way too fast to gain another mark on her reputation.
Slow down Lady, and do it right.

Now with everything else going on in the schools today, Painesville City Schools received a grant to do the play "Wizard of Oz" as a billingual production. I guess so Mexicans can feal more at home. If they want any chance of making it here they better learn English. I can't wait to vote some of these clowns out of office. I vote with my pocketbook also.

I would like the city of Painesville to make me feel more at home for once. This is my home and I am tired of the red carpet at my expense for people who came here illegally. If I wanted to live in Mexico I would move there. Do not change Painesville to "Little Mexico". Not on my dollars.

Little Mexico? What did Painesville City, Painesville City Schools do for Veterans Day? Sometimes I think I am living in Leon, or maybe Berkley.

Ask how many of the school board members or administration are veterans? Same for city council and the city administration. Thats why nothing was done.

We have a veteran on the School board and he is the one that said the Pledge of Allegiance is redundant to say it every day and compared it to brushing your teeth. What the heck does that tell us. If I hadn't seen him say this on tv I would never have believed it if someone told me.
