"OPPORTUNITIES" II pet shop boys

You've got the brawn, I've got the brains
Lets make lot's of...

Enjoy the Parable?

Now the truth!

Many of you by now know of my distain for AMP-OHIO as well as Peabody Energy. I don't believe we have to go over that again, do we?

AMP executives are flocking to abandon ship down in Columbus?. I guess the 'Best of Times' are well over?

Peabody Energy you know the Prairie State people. Well as I have reported here in the past they have filed for bankruptcy. Along with taking a stock price form a $1000 a share to a close of $1.41 yesterday.

It would be interesting to find out how many millions AMP-OHIO and Peabody have cost Painesville? As we were told "we took a gamble!"

This from the Dow Jones Newswire:

BANKRUPT PEABODY SEEKS COURT PERMISSION TO PAY 12 MILLION IN EXECUTUIVE BONUSES

Peabody Energy Corp. is asking a bankruptcy judge to let it pay up to 12 million in bonuses to the coalmining company's top executives.

Peabody president and CEO Glenn Kellow and  FIVE  other executives are in line for the bonuses, which depend upon the company's financial performance  as well as its achievement of safety, environmental and restructuring goals. Six people to divide 12 million dollars over a failed company?!

Peabody, which is asking Judge Barry Schermer to approve the payments saying the bonuses are warranted. in light of the fact that the success of it's restructuring and enhance value at this critical time.

Well back in 2005 Congress amended the bankruptcy code it required executive bonuses generally to be incentive based rather than retention based?

Odd on this filing to the judge we heard nothing about the miner's pensions, or health benefit's, or the massive clean up costs that Peabody will incur ? I guess the miner's are on their own and you and I can clean up the mess? Where we will be left up the creek without a paddle! That maybe Peabody's answer to 'restructuring'

Six people believing they are due 12 million in bonuses? Is near unbelievable, but then again it's Business in America. And a solution .....let's cut their taxes  even more?

See, sometimes real stories are even funnier than made up stories?

Here's a heads up to our Power Plant director Jeff McHugh. Before the phone goes unanswered in Columbus why is Prairie State only operating at 68% so far this year as well as OSHA issued three repeated and four serious safety violation to PSEC? All this while everyone on Painesville  Council sits on their hands, or worse yet have no idea of the situation they are somewhat responsible for?

My world is getting to be like the movie 'Groundhog Day'
Same stale speech and then near the end...
It's now it's so bad the Secret Service is investigating all the while Trump telling us he didn't say what we all watched him say?
Along with will he pivot soon, the only thing that pivot's like Trump is a Toy Top!
All we hears is "Trump had a bad couple of weeks" I believe this can and will be said for the next 90 days!

I have often wondered what would be the result if the City just stopped paying OUR money for a product that we are not getting?
Might have to go to court to prove our case.
Wait, isn't that the job of the Law Director?
On second thought, he is the one who would have okayed the contract.
He sure wouldn't want to go to court in order to say that this contract that he agreed to is/was a bad deal.

All communities have to be shaking their collective "co-op" heads over this. Why we cannot collectively come together, pen a letter to Mike DeWine and stop this insanity is beyond my understanding. I don't think we a single community can do much other than write letters and make know our outrage to our own city council people......... who, in our case, choose to do nothing.

Our Law Director, Mr Gurley signed off after reviewing the AMP contract. Took me a while but I don't think our law director said anything about being good or bad. He simply stated it was a legal contract, he has been asked about this at council meetings in the past. There again, it was something CM McMahon wanted and pushed through a lazy council. It was that simple.

And I cannot understand Mr McHughs stand on AMP. Does he live in town, does he pay for Painesville Electricity?

I see on the city website we have a job listing for an Electric Distribution Worker......

Other then threatening Angelo, what does the Law Director actually do? It certainly isn't giving Painesville good advice!

12:08 Well Peabody as well as AMP-OHIO to a greater extent knows to divide and conquer. So many communities and only one company doing business with all of them. You have to wonder about the relationship between AMP-OHIO and all these electric directors?
12:32 You are to hard on Mr. Gurley? See at least I know one person at the front table is listening and not napping, carrying on a conversation with the person next to them. Or on their phone, or whatever. In this case he's doing his job!
I sometimes wonder who much more of this bunch he can take?
