"BORN IN THE U.S.A." bruce springsteen

Not let me get this straight,. First a film company decides to go forward with a fictional  comic movie about the assassination  of a North Korean leader. At the same time this independent company doesn't think the money spent to keep hackers out of their system is worth the cost.

Threats are made by God knows who and the company is left with some real embarrassing egg on their face and the film is pulled at a cost of 75 million dollars.

America, Home of the Free, land of the ????

Somehow we let some screwball dictator decide what can can watch and not watch. Actually he didn't, probably some bean counter at an insurance company, or attorney decided well if they pull something off we are on the hook.

Guess what.... the terrorists WIN. Not because we fear them but because we are more worried about litigation. You have to wonder what's next?

Forget about pay for view evil  still got their point across.

Maybe we make a sniper movie about ISIS and we are told if that movie is shown a middle school somewhere or many places in your country will be attacked 911 style?

If you presume  normalizing diplomacy with Cuba we will take out a Mall once a week.

Miley Cyrus sticks out her tounge and twirks again we're taking out a day care.

If this policy becomes the norm we will no longer remain a free society.

The federal government must cover the insurance risk of this movie as they do the Super Bowl and the movie should be shown.

And some of the flag wavers should crawl out from under their beds and go on with the normal things in life.

Leave a message to those, if there does happen to be an attack someone will pay a thousand fold. Let's face it we can be as brutal as any one else in this world. We got the papers to prove it.

Does anyone really believe if certain factions had the capacity to do these things, whey would wait for a movie?

The cynical part of me wonders if Sony did this to hype the movie? Just wondering.
Like you, I am amazed that Sony rolled over so quickly. It is like the one shoe bomber, who failed, and now we all take off our shoes to board a plane. The terrorists won!!!
This brings to mind something that I think of EVERY time I board a plane. You go through the checkpoint and there are always dozens of TSA agents everywhere. Just exactly WTH were all these people doing for a job prior to 9/11?? All the way to the Director of Homeland Security, none of them were employed in this job prior to 9/11 and yet now we just have to have them to be "safe".
Yep, every day the bad guys manage to scare us more and we just seem to take it.

8:37 I guess we just be happy he didn't stick that bomb up his A#*.

Do the bad guys scare us, or does our media?

On cue FOXNEWS blames President Obama. Really?

What's pathetic is that movie studio's major movie theaters buckled upper for the reason I gave in the post.

Gee all this time I thought someone at city hall was attempting to hack this site? Yet now it must be the North Koreans, Hey Jong Ill this site is rated KF (Korean Friendly)

Can the city easily disengage from the electric grid? What deference would it make? What have you got 20# of coal in reserve?

Question; If PSEC is knocked offline by a cyber attack do we still have to pay for the electricity we didn't get?

7:29 Not a threat but an unsubstantiated remark about an individual. Sorry

The more that happens in this fiasco, the more I am convinced it is nothing more than Sony hyping the movie.
Like Term often says, you couldn't write this stuff.

9:08 I believe Sony just made sure they were covered if there was to be litigation after an incident.
Sony was hacked and hacked to a point I didn't believe possible.
If there had just been threats I'd agree with you.
Anyway under no conditions should this movie had been pulled in the first place... North Korea Really?

It is also my belief that although there's hardly internet in N.Korea there are those in the government skunk works that somehow, someway will wreck havoc with Kim and crew.

Can't make this stuff up? Maybe a movie's in the works?

Someone also mentioned to me Sony is a Japanese company? Maybe Toyota next?

Now I hear Japan is upset over the movie "Unbroken" To bad maybe it was a bad idea? you guys had back on December 7, 1941?
